Russian launch of Out of Control
I can't believe what a busy few weeks I've had and it's all going to get busier with the launch of my new album, Out of Control, in the UK. I'm still in Moscow and can't wait to get back to London to do more shopping. Joseph has said we'll need to rent a separate house for all my new clothes soon!
I must tell you about the fabulous event that was held for the launch of Out of Control in Moscow last weekend. It was one of the most amazing nights of my life.
I wanted to make sure that this was a glitzy and glamorous event, and nowhere is swankier than The Most club.
Of course I wanted to look my best, so I chose a beautiful black dress with polka dot rhinestones and spent the morning being pampered, getting my hair and make-up done and resting my voice as I was going to perform some songs from Out of Control on the night.
I don't know why, but I was a little bit nervous. Joseph was wonderful though and kept me happy with lots of hugs and kisses. I think maybe it was because I knew so many British journalists were there - I love British music and think that London is the world's music capital, so I wanted to give one of my best performances and show them what Russia can offer.
The
afternoon of the launch event was really busy. I had to do a press
conference for around 120 Russian publications as well as the
international media. It always gets so crazy, but I really love doing
it, it makes me feel very privileged to do what I do and to know
that people are interested in what I have to say.
Some of the guys who I worked with on the album were also there. I've been lucky enough to work with a team who who've previously contributed to the success of many global superstars, including Queen, Tatu, U2 and Gwen Stefani, so you can see why I'm so excited about the release of Out of Control in the UK.
It was soon time for the BIG event. There were so many people there, but I hardly had a chance to speak to anyone before my performance. The highlight of the night for me had to be my duet with Mr Robin Gibb from the legendary Bee Gees. He'd come to Moscow just to perform Stayin' Alive with me, which we've recorded together for Out of Control.
After my performance I was able to relax with Joseph and my friends. I also met a few of the journalists from the UK and they told me how much they had enjoyed my performance.
